Wander With Mekela

The pandemic has changed the travel industry.  We offer the most flexible booking terms and conditions that our business can tolerate.  We continue to adapt and evolve and do our best to serve you. We look forward to traveling with you soon. We continue to take extra safety precautions when planning trip itineraries, selecting vendors, and choosing destinations.  We continue to follow the protocols to maintain our Safe Travels endorsement by the World Travel and Tourism Council.

Wander With Mekela Booking Terms & Conditions:

Travelers who book a trip that must be rescheduled by Wander With Mekela due to an insurmountable risk to the guests will receive a credit of 100% of all monies paid, toward any future trip with Wander With Mekela, one year from original trip departure date. You will be notified of any rescheduling via email directly from the Wander With Mekela owners.  

If you choose to cancel a scheduled Wander With Mekela itinerary due to your own reasons (ie: contracting COVID, feeling uncertain about travel, etc.) our normal policies apply:
Deposits are non-refundable (but are transferable to another person not currently signed up for that trip or to a future Legit Trip). Additional balance payments made can be refunded if canceled more than 120 days prior to the trip start date (or per trip policies, some trips can not be canceled, read the specific trip notes on the trip webpage please).  At the 120-day mark from your trip departure, all payments including the deposit are non-refundable.
Deposits may only be transferred one time and incur a $100 rebooking fee.
Deposit credits are good for one year from the originally booked trip departure date.

There are no exceptions to this cancellation policy, including reasons related to weather, terrorism, civil strife, airline default, strikes, personal, family, or medical emergencies, or any other circumstances beyond our control.  If you cancel because of medical issues, a positive virus test, sickness, quarantine, travel restrictions or warnings, fear of traveling, or any other reason, your booking is subject to this cancellation and refund policy.

Further, we cannot provide refunds for any unused portion of your trip if you are quarantined, refused services due to exhibiting symptoms, test positive for infectious disease, or refuse to comply with health and safety standards for our trip, and therefore cannot complete the itinerary. This includes if you are unable to board a plane to your trip destination or your return flight home due to symptoms of an illness. It also includes if you are denied entry or if you are required to quarantine. 

Travel Insurance is recommended for all trips.

Wander With Mekela are hosted by a trip host. The decision of the trip host is final on all matters likely to affect the safety or well-being of all guests on the trip. If you fail to comply with a decision made by a trip host or interfere with the well-being or mobility of the group, the trip host may direct you to leave the trip immediately, with no right of refund. Wander With Mekela may also elect not to allow you on any future trips, even if they are already booked.
