Have you dreamed of going to a stunning remote island in the Caribbean? Let me introduce you to Roatan!

Roatan is a one of the three Bay Islands of Honduras. It is about 37 miles long and 7 miles wide and is located directly on the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef. This little island has a lot to offer. From stunning white sand beaches to ziplining in the canopies to boating through the mangroves, you will have plenty of things to do. Join us on a wonderful weeklong trip to Roatan.

Trip Basics:

Group size: 6 – 10

Your Roatan trip package includes 6 nights overlooking stunning Half Moon Bay.

Fly in/out of RTB Airport.

Itinerary subject to change based on discretion of trip leader or tour operator, due to weather or other extenuating circumstances.

  • 6 nights double occupancy accommodations at Mr. Tucan Hotel, overlooking the beach in Half Moon Bay.
  • Round trip Transfer between RTB airport and Mr. Tucan Hotel.

Pricing:

$650 DEPOSIT

$2495 TRIP TOTAL – double occupancy (for single occupancy, add $450)

All trips are priced as double occupancy. A solo supplement may be available on this trip (based on availability at time of inquiry) if you’d prefer your own room.  If you are traveling solo, it doesn’t mean you need to pay for a solo supplement, we’re happy to pair you with a roommate whenever possible.

Booking Terms:

Deposits are non-refundable (but are transferable to another person not currently signed up for this trip with Wander With Mekela Trip). Any additional payments can be refunded if canceled more than 120 days prior to the trip start date.  Deposits may only be transferred one time and incur a $100 rebooking fee.

Day to Day

This agenda has been crafted just for you! You will get to see and experience all Roatan has to offer.

Day 1: Fly into Coxen Hole (RTB) which is the capital of Roatan. You will be picked up and taken to West End where Mr Tucan Hotel will be waiting for you. That night, you will get to meet everyone at our Welcome Dinner.
Day 2: We jump right into our Island Tour. We will stop at the famous “Roatan Sign” for pictures as we head through the capital and learn about the history on our way towards the east side of the island. We will see the best animal sanctuary before take a trip through the shaded mangrove canals in a motorized canoe (known locally as a dory).
Day 3: What better way to start the day then a chocolate making class? After our morning of sweetness, we will head to lunch at the world-renown Sandy Buns. After our bellies are full, we will head to the Rum Factory for some tastings.
(Optional dinner at Luna Muna.)
Day 4: You can’t come to this beautiful island on the reef and not see some fishies! We will have a 2 site snorkel (optional Discovery Dive upgrade). Lunch at a place on West Bay Beach before our relaxing afternoon. We will end with a sunset catamaran.
Day 5: Get the blood rushing with a zipline and canopy tour. After, we will decide on a lunch place before a free afternoon. You won’t want to miss Karaoke Night at the Blue Marlin.
Day 6: No trip to Roatan is complete without going to the Roatan Brewery. Relax in their space, play some cornhole, use the dunk tank. It has more to offer than just beer! Our Farewell Dinner will be at my favorite restaurant, Roatan Oasis.
Day 7: Most international flights leave in the early afternoon. This gives you the morning to relax or pack or any last minute places you want to stop before headed to the airport.
